If I rest for a moment
using Rilke’s letters as an example
I will imagine you & I
as vowels
whose affairs are clandestine
between the consonants
whose letters are not tied with ribbons
nor hiding in a shoe box
but in humping nakedness are scattered
across the bed for all to read.
